Having covered The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation for over a year since it really picked up as a major local organization, it was a pleasure to see it blossom to the point of the chairman/founder Matt Barbis signing out the closing bell at NASDAQ this week.

Ironically, Barbis, myself and the CEO of NASDAQ, Bob Greifield, are all Sachem alums.

As one of its first major grassroots fundraising and awareness efforts, The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation hosted an event in the Hamptons in early July.

Don and Katrina Peebles lent their Bridgehampton, N.Y. home and support and were gracious hosts.
