The Roosevelt name is synonymous with various part of Long Island and Sayville, a quaint town on the south shore, is no different.
John E. Roosevelt, the first cousin and legal advisory of President Theodore Roosevelt, owned a property in Sayville called Meadow Croft, where the estate he commissioned in 1891 still sits.
