At a press conference at City Hall in New York City this week, it was announced that the New York Mets will host the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Joining Mayor Michael Bloomberg were Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig, Mets owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon, Mr. Met and Joe Torre, the Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations for Major League Baseball.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York Yankees Manager Joe Torre were on Long Island this week to speak at the monthly Long Island Association business executives luncheon.
Giuliani said he will not run for president in 2012 and Torre said he will not manager again.
