At a press conference at City Hall in New York City this week, it was announced that the New York Mets will host the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Joining Mayor Michael Bloomberg were Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig, Mets owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon, Mr. Met and Joe Torre, the Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations for Major League Baseball.

Sachem alum Jumbo Elliott didn’t get his call to the College Football Hall of Fame this year, but I did attend the inductee announcement conference in New York City.
The event was held at NASDAQ, where Sachem alum Bob Greifeld is CEO. Inductees included Jimmy Johnson, Steve Bartkowski, Art Monk, Phillip Fulmer and others.
As part of our new PCLI Speakers Series, Jerry Springer came to a Press Club of Long Island gathering to talk about media and society at Adelphi University.
Springer was very gracious with his time, conducting a Q&A for 90 minutes, posing for many photos with guests and doing a video interview with the Press Club.

The Colts selected Stanford product Andrew Luck with the top pick. RG3 went second overall to the Redskins.
